International Federation Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Padang, West Sumatera Office – Indonesia Delegation is looking for candidates for the posts of: 

Security Officer - Padang (1 position)

(National Staff Position)

 

Duties applicable to all staff:

 

·         Actively work towards the achievement of the Secretariat's goals.

·         Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross/Red Crescent principles.

·         Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.

·         Respect and observe the Code of Conduct and staff regulations.

 

 

Specific duties, responsibilities and accountabilities:

·         Ensure all Security Guards understand their role and responsibilities, what this entails and the level of performance required.

·         Ensure individual performance of Security Guards.

·         Ensure all Security Guards carry out routine checks both inside and outside buildings, where required

·         Inform HoO of any security related issues involving Security Guards

·         Issue verbal warnings to Security Guards and report to HR regarding all neglect of duties, breach of regulations, etc

·         Provide a weekly written review of the guards and activity in relation to the warehouses/office buildings in West Sumatra and submit to HoO

·         Maintain a good working relationship with all Security Guards

·         Investigate and document all other security related incidents in West Sumatra

·         Be familiar with IFRC Security Rules and Regulations and ensure they are implemented by all staff

·         Have good working knowledge of equipment such as fire extinguishers, VHF radio, Codan radio, etc

·         Collect Security Incident Reports for all security related incidents in West Sumatra, and forward to Banda Aceh Security Officer and HoO

·         Be able to solve problems among Security Guards, report all issues and updates to HoO

·         Assist in developing security awareness and security culture among all staff, provide assistance and advice to PNS' and IFRC in West Sumatra as required with prior agreement of HoO

·         Travel to locations as directed by HoO

·         Maintain regular communication and coordinate with IFRC Security Officer in Banda Aceh as required

·         Liaise with other agencies and authorities regarding West Sumatra security as required

·         Provide advice and direct support on other aspects of sub delegation security as they arise.

 

 

 

Qualification & Experience:

 

·    Bachelor's Degree any equivalent field

·    Experience in Managing People

·    Proven Ability to Problem Solve

·    Red Cross / Red Crescent Experience

·    Minimum 2 Years Experience in Related Field

·    Experience in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution

·    Good Computer Knowledge (Word, Excell)

·    Fluent in English – both written and spoken

·    Good Health Condition

·    Familiar with Radio Communications (HF & VHF)

·    Coordination and Networking Skills

·    Self-Motivated and Proactive

·   Commitment to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, Integrity and Personal Conduct
