The Asia Foundation, an international non-governmental organization committed to the development of a peaceful, prosperous, and open Asia-Pacific region, is seeking a Team Leader for upcoming opportunities. The Foundation is seeking Team Leader candidates for an anticipated AusAID-funded Partnership for Electoral Support in Indonesia.
Candidates should be development professionals with specific sectoral expertise supporting improved electoral processes for managing elections, with significant Indonesia experience preferable. Specific areas of expertise should include at least one of the following: strengthening elections management bodies, supporting processes related to local elections, conducting policy research to inform inputs to laws governing elections, and engagement with civil society organisations on voter education, elections monitoring or advocacy.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience managing large-scale donor-supported electoral support projects, including at least five years work experience in Indonesia and/or with AusAID preferred. An advanced degree in political science, public policy or a related field is required. Requires experience with day-to-day project management, including management of staff, activities and grants and oversight of monitoring, evaluation and reporting. A demonstrated commitment to addressing challenges of democratic governance in developing countries is required and a demonstrated ability to work collegially and productively with a variety of partners and stakeholders. Grants management experience highly desirable. Familiarity with Indonesian or Asian politics a plus. Ability to speak Indonesian is a plus.
