Search for Common Ground Indonesia, a non-profit, independent, secular, non-government organization dedicated to conflict transformation, is seeking a conflict resolution and community development professional to work as a Program Officer on one of our training programs.
Search for Common Ground Indonesia is a representative office of Search for Common Ground (SFCG), whose mission is to transform how individuals, organizations and governments deal with conflict – away from adversarial approaches and toward cooperative solutions. SFCG's headquarters are in Washington, DC USA and Brussels, Belgium.
POSITION : Design, Monitoring, Evaluation Assistant
LOCATION : Jakarta (with possibility travel to other regions)
CONTRACT PERIOD : 12 Months (fixed term)
START DATE : As soon as possible
STATUS : Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
Consolidate the established systems for monitoring and evaluating the different activities under the programme into a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation framework.
Implement the project monitoring and evaluation strategy, for the programmes and recommend any possible changes based on the lessons learned.
Ensure that the established guidelines on project monitoring and evaluation of different project components are well respected.
Identify information flows from the monitoring and evaluation process and ensure adequate collection and storage of data.
Review the performance indicators and reports produced by different stakeholders and recommend necessary changes if applicable.
Oversee the submission of satisfactory reports by the training and intervention team members, such as attendance records, pre and post-tests results, etc.
Provide qualitative and quantitative information to the DME Coordinator for preparation of progress reports, and updates to the donor and management.
Provide input to the DM&E Coordinator on how the M&E framework can be improved to ensure that the systems and processes optimize efficiency and ensure timely feedback in implementing specific activities
Undertake other duties that may be assigned from time to time which are commensurate to the position
Qualifications:
At least 1-3 years in evaluating and monitoring a program. Previous experience in facilitating community groups and delivering trainings is a distinct advantage. Experience in preparation of reports and official correspondence.
University degree, preferably in Social Science, Human Resources, Psychology, Engineering, Development Studies or alternatively, a combination of related education and professional experience
Computer literate (word-processing, spreadsheet, e-mail exchange, SPSS, NVIVO).
A high level of personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, respect for diversity, creative thinking
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in team situations. Possesses strong initiative; able to work independently and as member of a team.
Ability to establish priorities and undertake assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds; NGO/INGO experience a plus.
Able to work independently, and under pressure, and willingness to work during weekends and overtime.
