The Role:
In this role you will be operating as the strategic leader of a large-scale country programme which is delivering broad and tangible results within a highly sophisticated political environment. Acting as a strong and committed leader you will shape and support the team in devising and implementing the next generation of Oxfam's programming in Indonesia - building this up from a core approach which will be based around influencing through key alliances and partnerships as much as our operational field based work.
As Country Director you will ensure that strong links exists between our humanitarian and longer-term development work, using high quality research based analysis to embed Oxfam as an influential agency within the Indonesia development sector. To this end you will need to be able to draw on the highest level of representational skills, taking the organisation out to a diverse range of stakeholders including government officials, donors, UN agencies, and other NGO staff.
