Vacancy Caritas Czech Republic - Aceh

Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) is a member of the Caritas Internationalis family, based in the Czech Republic. CCR has been present for five years in the Aceh province of Indonesia, focused mainly on livelihood recovery in post-Tsunami and post-conflict areas.

Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) is currently looking for an expert to analyze its projects in Aceh. CCR would like to contract an expert to spend 2-4 weeks in Aceh in the next three months to assist in the documentation of CCR livelihood recovery projects. 

Expected Outcome of Analysis of Community Development Expert

5 Cooperative Biographies: Five biographies will be combined in one collection documenting the development, growth, goals and plans of the five main cooperatives being served by CCR. 

The Biographies will be the stories of the cooperatives. The biographies will document the history of the cooperatives, looking at both the impact of the 30-year armed conflict and the Tsunami disaster, as well as the assets in place before the Tsunami recovery and peace treaty. The Biographies will map the development of the cooperatives, both in conjunction with CCR and independently. The Biographies will allow the members of the cooperative to measure development, identify challenges successfully met and anticipate future challenges to growth. Each Biography will end with a plan for development and benchmarks for the next year, next three years and next five years. The Biographies will be collected into one volume and shared with all five organizations. 

Required 

-Community Development Experience
-Indonesian or SEA experience
-Experience with DRR/ CBDRR 

Desired 

-Generalist with experience in CBOs
-Background in Agriculture Livelihoods/ Aquaculture Livelihoods
-Experience working with cooperatives 
-Experience in result-based management 
-Experience with the concept of aid effectiveness in the Asian context

Availability

Able to spent 2-4 weeks in Aceh Province, Indonesia at some point during the period of 1 April to 30 June working with CCR field staff

Able to travel long distances in jungle/ mountain terrain and spend several days at a time in CCR field offices with only basic amenities
