Muslim Aid is an international relief and development agency based in London with 21 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for disaster and conflict affected people across the globe. We are currently operating in more than 60 countries. In Indonesia our main programs include Flood mitigation, Shelter and Livelihoods with our Field office based in Banda Aceh, and further sub-offices in Jogyakarta, Jakarta and Padang.
We are currently seeking to hire the qualified candidate for the following position:
Position: Finance Officer (1 position)
Based: Padang – West Sumatra
Supervisor: Padang Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain and coordinate all standard financial accountability procedures for the Padang Emergency Response
· Maintain financial records, including preparation of invoices, receipts, banking documents, etc as per guidelines provided by MA national office Finance Section.
· In collaboration with the Coordinator and Programme Officer, prepare data for monthly and other financial reports to MA national office, and to external donors.
· Directly responsible for scrutinising financial correctness of all stages of procurement work as directed by the Coordinator, including checking of quotations and financial calculations provided.
· Direct and instruct staff and volunteer team members in following finance accountability procedures as directly connected to their roles; completion of forms..
· Liaise directly with Finance section of MA National office with regard to monthly and other financial reports; following of financial accountability standards, etc. Work directly with visiting Finance staff for preparation and completion of financial reports and other finance processes as required.
· Handle petty cash and cash flow
· prepare budgets and revised the forecast on monthly basis
Skills and qualifications required:
· At least three years experience in all areas of basic office administration, including filing, recording and documentation.
· Strong skills in all basic computer applications, particularly Word and Excel.
· Ability to perform essential book-keeping tasks and prepare basic financial reports.
· Understanding of procurement systems and quotation and invoicing requirements; ability to carry these out without supervision.
· Strong self-starter; able to work well and systematically without immediate supervision, and take initiative
· Basic competence in written and spoken English language, as well as Bahasa Indonesia. Knowledge of Bahasa Minang is an advantage.
